well i am taking my role as a parent very seriously and have nursed my beloved through one stomach upset already. Domestic mice have quite delicate systems in comparison to their wild cousins. Other then that Ben is fine - though I am a little worried that he still cannot seem to work his state of the art "sippy" water device!

Today i went shopping for more books and a few other things for his tank - mainly puzzles and a couple of ladders as he seems to have a head for heights.

Just am blowed away by how I feel about the little fellow - he has barely been in my life for 60 hours and he is all I think about. I sit on trains and read serious looking books on the subject - mind you they all seem to contradict themselves. Might ring my friend who is a vet for a quick chat about juvenile mouse nutrition.... smiley - smiley

Mr Sapsea

He's a mouse, feed him to the cat.

JUST KIDDING!!!!!
my cat brings in about 2 mice a week as presents.
she has a taste for rare creatures so they are sometimes
the rarer types..also water voles and rarer birds (tits etc)
Reckon she'll bring in a panda one day

Mr Sapsea

It sounds to me like the little chap is far from suffering,
I can see him a few weeks from now in his little beanbag,
playing with his lego

Post 6

Lochangel

My flatmate keeps rats - not too far from mice? - and they eat anything - particularly bits of carrot, cabbage, sweetcorn and potato. They are horrendously healthy (I'm not an enormous fan of them, as you've probably gathered). She gave one of them an empty tube (from a particular brand of re-formed potato snack that once you pop you can't stop) and once he'd tired of playing with it, he ate it ... he'd got through about half of it before we noticed and wrestled it from him.

Dickensian Liar - the only thing my cat has ever brought in for me has been a tiny pair of jeans (about 5cm from waist to ankle). He looks longingly at the rats, but he knows if he goes too close, they would have him.

Oh Fizzychick - I just laughed very loudly! The net cafe looked round! I like the bit about the rat getting bored and then eating it! smiley - smileysmiley - smiley

Bird eating rats?

With my wildlife I shouldn't be surprised...
