Hello Bassman, saw your page. The simulator that you're working on looks just like the one my dad worked on about 20 years ago. He let my buddys and me take it for a test drive once - it was better than the arcade games at the time. Woulda cost a lot lot of quarters were we made to pay for the rides.
I'm checking out the musicians guild, not seeing much yet. I was hoping to PC based recording and get some pointer on my setup.

Tell me exactly what you want to know, I'll post a message in the text on the page - you might get some pointers from somewhere

Thanks,
I have Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and CoolEdit Pro with a variety DirectX plugin effects. None of the plugins work in real time. I was hoping to be able to hear the effects as I was playing.
Any ideas?

I'll post somthing right away at MuGs, leave it a week or so see what comes up. The other route I would tend to take would be to phone the guys at Future Music, they publish a host of music related magazines, maybe someone on the staff might have some ideas. I can get you the number if you're interested (This is a UK number).

It's been about a week, and nobody from the Guild has been able to respond. I know we have a few tech-savvy folks, but I can only guess that they don't know how to resolve this particular issue. I have posted a query to the general h2g2 community. The thread is at: http://www.h2g2.com/F30859?thread=98901

Oh! This is Fragilis speaking.
And by the way, I will leave the link to this conversation up at the Musicians Guild page for at least another week.

I sometimes wonder how many of those on the MuGs "Books" so to speak - are still active members. I have been a little disappointed to see only one other researcher comment at the Live Aid forum after my entry! Also having dropped a line to maybe twenty members about up & coming ideas, very few replied.
I saw a letter in Guitarist magazine this week with a similar tech query to this which got an answer, I still think it could be your best bet. Try searching for their web site and drop them an E-Mail.
