Thanks for the reassurance. I had an email with my induction programme in it. It looks great and I'll spend some time in Tasmania. I wonder if Warner Brothers ever went there before creating Taz. I doubt it somehow.

All that talk of Taz makes me want a nice tall glass of OJ...

You'll like Tasmania. Their beer's good, and they make decent pinot noir. The weather's gentler than it is on the mainland, as a rule. The landscape's interesting too. But there's also a lot of social inequality, for historical reasons.

I've started packing my brand new luggage. I couldn't take the family's stuff as they would have nothing to take on holiday when they go.

Why is it that nothing is where you thought it was?

23Kg is not very much to be lasting you for 2 years!

I've bought a shiny second hand netbook and made sure it works, so I should be up and running early on.

To be honest I have a face and body for radio so naturism wasn't the best of my ideas.

I have been playing the "Last time I'll ..." game for a couple of days now. This is my last Saturday in the UK for quite a while (12 months probably). It's my grandson's 12th birthday today and so we intend to go to a place with creepy crawlies and such. He'll love it and most of the rest of the party will be going round with their eyes shut.

Tuesday will soon be here. That's the last time I'll say that in the UK for quite a while.

Apparently I've heard some younger friends say that Speedo's in Oz are referred to as "budgie clutchers"... I'm not sure my ferrets will like that.

'Smugglers', not 'clutchers'. but don't worry, you'll pick up the language before long. smiley - silly

I'm not sure you can unattach them without gender reassignment...
I knew it had something to do with budgies. I think I quite like clutchers, but a bit too provocative maybe?

I can't check in online with Etihad until 20 hours before I go - so that's 2320 tonight. I want the seat next to the pilot.

BTW has any one else come across SeatGuru from Trip Advisor. I'm going to try and use the extra bit of info it gives on which are the best & worst seats.

Never heard of that guru. I usually try for a place near a window, and not too close to the wings cause they take the sight.
