Yes, there's still some bugs. Yes, I'm working on them. No, I'm pretty sure I've not found them all.
h2g2 was built quite a long time ago. A very long time by internet standards. And it was built for speed and longevity. Over the years it's been rebuilt and patched, and some areas of functionality have been shoehorned in. The code behind this site also used to power a lot of other sites, and that's had an effect on what's not running h2g2. Plus, the user management, sign in, out, register, etc, has gone through several incarnations before this current (hopefully last) one.
So yes, there's some sticky plasters here and there, and a whole lotta duct tape kicking about. But this is a very nice system. Thank you those who wrote it, and whose job it's been to maintain it over the years.
