Don't want to start any rumours....

... but I am planning on coming to Melbourne some time next year!
If I am lucky, and the goddess smiles on me, I'll be working in Melbourne for a while, otherwise I'll cash in my old airmiles and come down for two, three, or four weeks later in the year.
No dates on anything yet, but I thought I'd start lurking the Australian Researchers pages in anticipation.
How are you, honey?

That's great! How exciting
I'm well - I've just finished my degree and am staying at my mum's for a week reading books and lying in the sun before I head back to Melbourne to work. I'm trying to decide on the next step...It's all very big and daunting at the moment but I feel sure that it will all fall into place - I just have to decide where I want to go and how I want to get there!
When are you thinking of coming over? I have been absent for a while and was lurking around old friends' pages and was sad when I saw yours had been cleared - it's good to hear from you!

No, I'm here, I'm just keeping a low profile. You will only be able to separate me from h2g2 when you prise it from my cold dead hand!
"When" is completely unclear at the moment. There is a possibility that I might be able to come over for some work, which would be cool, because I would be around for several months at least. That won't be known for several months. But if that doesn't happen, I have started saving up to come over for a month or so later in the year, also not sure when, but sometime between July and September seems close enough to be exciting and far enough away not to be too scary. I'll let you know which it is going to be when I know myself. But either way I am definitely going to be Down Under for a chunk of 2005.
Life planning... I *still* dont know what I want to do with mine, but at least I am enjoying myself while I work it out!

I know what you mean - I go away for months at a time but still come crawling back to hootoo - I can't bear to cut myself off completely.
Yeah, I'm definately enjoying myself while I'm working out to do next year, my mum won a trip to Vietnam and is taking me and my brother for a couple of weeks late in January - I can't wait! In the meantime, I'm working in retail in the centre of Melbourne - it's crazy christmas shopping time so at least the days go fast with all the inane small talk we make with every single customer, although if I have to fit one more travel pack to a sweaty smelly customer I think I'll scream!
