I'm looking for a cynical girl
Yeah, yeah, a cynical girl
She's got to have a cynical view of the world
Yeah, yeah, a cynical girl
No bright sunny outlook
No thinking that life is fun
Yeah, yeah, a cynical girl
When I finally meet this girl
I know she'll be the one
Yeah, yeah, a cynical girl
I'll never meet her, though.
A cynical girl!

Today, I get to see George Carlin, one of the funniest damn people
in the world. I can only hope that I can someday write stuff as
brilliant, funny, and insightful as him. I think that might
never happen---especially with the way I've BEEN writing.
Lately, I've come to the realization that I've been very careless with
my writing. I've carelessly left my words on the page like a handgun
left in a nursery.
It's time for me to be more critical of my writings. To pay attention
to what I am writing and WHY I am writing them, and if I attempt to
make something funny, I shouldn't put it down on the page until it
makes me laugh out loud. Check that, it should make me laugh out loud
while I'm sober.
Self-loathing = Me

Wow, putting "Earth approx." after the date really makes me look geeky,
doesn't it?
I haven't had it in years.

This is the first entry in the journal.
It all goes downhill from here.
