As my hair was getting annoyingly long and always in my eyes, on Saturday I went to the barbers. In fact I decided I'd have not just any haircut, but I'd break from tradition and have the most daring, radical haircut I've had this century, the result of which is that my hair is now the shortest it has been for at least 20 years – definitely since before I started growing the pony tail in 1998.
No-one I know has noticed I've had a haircut. I think I just have unobservable hair.
