>>Her boyfriend at school is Ram, a former talented Sikh footballer who loses a leg during the Shadowkin attack and likes whining and dislikes his replacement leg. <<

Is he still a Sikh? Or a former footballer?

You're not doing another one of mine, are you?smiley - yikes

To clarify, Ram smiley - sheep is definitely a former footballer smiley - football. (Though he isn't a fully practicing Sikh, he doesn't disbelieve either.)

I'm afraid I never watched any of The Great British Bake-Off, so I missed the trailers. It doesn't sound like my kind of thing so I haven't added it to my wishlist on Virgin. I am enjoying the rebooted X-Files at the moment and can't wait for the next season of The Orville.

smiley - yikesI didn't realise there was another new series of 'The X-Files'. I've missed itsmiley - doh

You've not missed anything by not watching 'Class'. I do not watch 'Great British Bake-Off', but I did watch the 'Class' trailer online. It was sadly pointless.

I'm assuming that 'The Orville' isn't about a nappy-wearing duck smiley - chick?

The Orville is the spaceship, it's Star Trek but funny. Although there have been a couple of episodes that have reduced me to tears. They even play my favourite musicsmiley - love

The new X-Files is basically a p***-take on the old X-Files but I am enjoying the in-jokes, sending themselves up and their "new" relationship - it's on Channel 5, in case you can find the episodes on catch-upsmiley - ok

How many have I missed? Is 'Orville' on terrestrial telly too?

I always end up missing things as I don't watch commercial channels, or if I do I never see the adverts.smiley - blue

The Orville is on Fox TV (I have Virgin "M" package) - I set my Tivo box to record the episodes then I watch next day so I can FF the adverts.smiley - zoom

I can't say how many episodes you've missed of the X-Files, as there was a 6-episode season (which I think was testing the waters) which zoomed past (and I was pretty confused as it kept referring to episodes I'd forgotten) but currently it's season 11, and I believe there are 8 episodes (you saw what I did there).

I have sent you a funny clip from S11 ep4 on Facebook messenger.

I saw the 6-episode series a couple of years ago, but didn't realise it was back again. I only watched about the first five series when 'The X-Files' was first on television as I didn't have a television for 3 years between 1998-2001, so missed out on a lot from that period. I still have to try and watch 'Stargate' at some point...

Thanks for the clip - I'll see if I can watch it at lunchtime. smiley - biggrin

You're welcome!smiley - hug

You've never seen Stargate? Be warned, watch them in order or you'll be hopelessly confused. I watch reruns on "Pick" channel, but I've seen them all, and the films. I particularly enjoyed the "Groundhog Day" episode, and ... oh, well, I'll let you enjoy themsmiley - biggrin

I'm giving subbing a rest now while I catch up on the entries I must finish - Stephen Hawking being top of my list nowsmiley - run

I saw the film a couple of decades ago (so have a vague memory of the plot if not the exact details) but no, I missed seeing it as I didn't have a telly and I don't like coming into a programme halfway through. It's on my 'DVDs to look out for cheap second hand' list, though.

At home I have more DVDs than HMV in the ever-growing pile - some might not consider that a good thing in a small 2-bed flat...

Enjoy the subbing break. smiley - biggrin
