>>Unfortunately the church objected to most of the original designs, saying they were non-realistic, with only the dwarf's original design meeting their approval.<<
"the church" - is this the Episcopal Foundation or another church, and why did they have a say in the making of the film?

Hello GB, thank you for volunteering to take this on – you're a lion.
Yes, by 'the church' I mean the American Episcopal Church. CS Lewis sold the television and film adaptation rights to the American Episcopalian Church shortly before his death - he had been asked to do a series of radio broadcasts for them in the early 1960s. Their media department that looks after the rights as well as the other videos and radio shows they make seems to have had many name changes over the years, but in the late 1970s was the Episcopal Radio-TV Foundation.

Thanks BB, I can see you've already explained all that in the text, but I'll just change "the church" to "the foundation" as it wasn't obvious to me that it was the foundation of which you spoke earlier
I'm now done subbing if you'd like to approve it

I'm your sub-editor for Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader - the new version is A87913498 - please subscribe!
Can I just check, did Miraz kill Caspian's father by his own hand, or arrange for him to be killed?
Did Warwick Davis always play Yoda, or only sometimes?
"The figurehead was polystyrene covered in fibreglass, and the ship was based in Milford Haven."
Does this mean that filming took place in Milford Haven, or was it that the conversion took place there, or both?
Are the dancing trees and the Magician's book of spells in different scenes?
I enjoyed reading this again - I haven't seen the series, but your description of it evokes my memories of reading the books

I'm subbing The Silver Chair too. The new version is A87913506 - please subscribe!
I just had a couple of questions as I read through:
"a hag and werewolf attempting to resurrect her before being killed"
The hag and werewolf are killed?
"The map of Narnia is over a millennia out of date"
Over one and a half millennia?

Two in one go - are you a glutton for punishment?
Anyway, I can confirm that the hag and werewolf were killed. Definitely deaded. They've passed on. The hag and werewolf are no more. They have ceased to be, expired and gone to meet Aslan. They're both bereft of life, pushing up the daisies, kicked the bucket, shuffled off their mortal coil and joined the choir invisible.
Remind me to buy a wreath - nothing fancy, a plastic one will do...
I worked it out and 'The Silver Chair' is set 1,356 Narnian years after 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe', so 'over a millennia' is fine, but if you want to round it up to 1 1/2 I'm not going to quibble too much.

We are told that Miraz killed Caspian's father Caspian, but it isn't revealed exactly how he killed him or indeed confirmed for certain whether he killed him in person or arranged to have him killed. What we have are the words,
'"He murdered your Father," said Doctor Cornelius.'
This implies he killed him by his own hand, but isn't conclusive.
Warwick Davis played Yoda only briefly, but still, he played Yoda.
The ship's home port was Milford Haven, although location filming took place around the Isles of Scilly. Whether the conversion was able to be completed at Milford Haven or whether the ship had to sail across the Bristol Channel to Bristol wasn't specified.
But yes, the trees and the book are in different scenes, episodes and stories.

Maybe I am a bit of a glutton for punishment taking on two in one go, but I like Narnia and it is good to be able to work on the whole of your BBC TV adaptation Project
It also means I've got an overview of things, which is very interesting - thanks for checking the Narnian timeline! Does that mean we need to tweak the Prince Caspian Entry too, where it says:
"Prince Caspian is set one and a half millennia after the first Chronicle so the map of Narnia is centuries out of date" ?
Thanks for that about Miraz and the murder - I was getting a bit bogged down in ye olde "Smith, where Jones had had 'had had', had had 'had." but here 'had' it is
Sorry for not being clear with my question about Warwick Davis - I was wondering when it was that he did play Yoda. Was it "in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), as well as in the Star Wars prequels and sequels and the Ewok sequels." too?
Thank you for confirming that it was the hag and werewolf that were deaded, and not the White Witch that was resurrected and then killed

Yes, sorry I wasn't clear before, but it was more straightforward than I thought to make the tiny tweaks so I'm glad all is OK
