Continuing the colour theme, I'm your Sub-editor for The White Album. The new version is A87909745 - please subscribe!

Just a few questions as I read through:

"Also there were: Mike Love of the Beach Boys, Donovan, Mia Farrow and her sister Prudence, John's friend Alexis 'Magic Alex' Mardas " I like how you define Mike Love and Magic Alex - can you say a word or two to define Donovan and Mia Farrow, too?

"He had read a review of 'I Can See For Miles', which though Paul cannot remember the exact words, has paraphrased the description as declaring it 'the loudest, dirtiest, most raucous rock'n'roll ever recorded'." Can you say more about what this is saying?

There was a programme about Charles Manson on TV recently, but sadly it was turned into an hour long programme instead of a half hour one by showing in graphic detail what copious amounts of blood look like so I had to turn it off before the Beatles connection was discussed smiley - sadface Tragic interpretations indeed...

"when out Paul hit some organ note" - out?

"as John left home almost immediately afterwards" - after what? (gives me the impression that he sang the lullaby to his son one night and then disappeared smiley - blue)

smiley - ok

How about 'folk musician Donovan and actress Mia Farrow, perhaps best known for 'Rosemary's Baby' (1968)

Paul read a review of song 'I Can See For Miles' by The Who which, though he can't remember the exact words, described it with words along the lines that it was 'the loudest, dirtiest, most raucous rock'n'roll ever recorded'. Paul immediately considered this a challenge and was determined to record something louder, dirtier and even more raucous.

Ah yes, should be 'our Paul'

'A song that John composed as a bedtime lullaby for his son Julian days before he left home, leaving his wife Cynthia for Yoko.'

Looks good to me - the only slight thing is an additional comma in 'which was the time, Paul spent in a Japanese gaol cell.' Other than that, push the button!
