I was going to put this in the Gap convo but it seemed very long.
Donaldson is my favorite along with Adams.I think I've read all of Donaldson but am anxious for more. The GAP series was awsome! The Covenant books which I've reread many times are wonderful. It's nice to know there's someone out there who enjoys them as much as I.I agree that the second Covenant series was not as easy to read as the first.I so enjoy an antihero.

Tell me, have you read "Reeve The Just" as it's the only Donaldson I haven't read or own. I'm desperate to, though! I really enjoyed "Daughter of Regals", with the Unicorn story probably being my favourite. If you've read them, what did you think?

Reeve the Just sounds familar but I'm not sure.Do you know what it's about? Is it a novel or short story?I read Daughters of Regals a long time ago and the memory is vague, but I think I'll reread it now. When I read the Gap series I had accidentally come across the second book and immediatlly started.I was too impatient to wait till I had found the first book.Very confusing doing it that way.Did you read Mordants Need?

Mordant's Need was the first Donaldson I read, and I first read it all in 2 days flat - I never put those books down! The second time took me two weeks, but it was just as enjoyable. I know the feeling about not wanting to wait to get the books - as soon as I had finished reading the First Chronicles I had to read the second Chronicles - and I read "The Illearth war" and "Gilden-Fire" at the same time, more or less, which wasn't too confusing luckily!
As for Reave the Just - like Daughter of Regals, it's a collection of short-stories that was published in paperback not that long ago. It's the most recent thing he's written - but I haven't been able to get a copy to read yet. I really want to, though - I've read everything else!

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence

Ho, disciples of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever!

Such dark books. Like y'all, I gulped them down, couldn't wait for more (and Donaldson seems to write trilogies effortlessly). And I fought them all the way; couldn't believe D would create such wonderful worlds only to destroy them.
