get up go to work come home go to bed get up go to work come home go to bed. the only excitement is in cleaning house or paying bills. it is like a bad joke. there is a hell and it is called adulthood!

thank-you for the info. was a little amazed that anyone responded to my ramblings as they tend to sit idle for long periods of time.

by the way, would you mind refreshing me on what exactly the sun looks like. i haven't seen it in so long i'd almost forgotten about it. oh memories..............i seem to remember this large ball of fire in the sky that made me warm and fuzzy...............must of only been a dream though because all i see now is these darn wet things when i look up.

Pop over to the UK - we seem to be having a heat wave, although wet things have been dropping from the sky the last few days. As I said from the song - Life gets tedious DON'T IT. vegiman

yes, life does tend to get a little tedious at times. as for the UK and popping over, if it is dry that would be great. i happen to have a friend there as a matter of fact and am constently amused when he states how hot it is only to find he is talking about mid-seventies as i am from the US alabama to be exact (i can here the sarcastic comments on alabama running through your brain as i type ) and that is considered quite mild compared to the 90's or greater that we experience.

What us brits call hot in the middle of summer, is considered cool in the middle of winter in the UAE, where my dad lives...

wow, where to start? Having only driven through it twice there is so much to say..........................
alabama?
msmonsy Posted Jun 29, 1999
let's start with drive fast!, drive VERY VERY fast! lest you happen to get caught in the alabama triangle, people come in but they never go out! dodododododododododo..............you are now in the alabama zone! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plain ole Pat Posted Jun 30, 1999
I have been stuck there, it took two days to get from montgomery to baton rouge, and it's only a little way down the interstate. Really! of course was it 400 km or was that 400 miles? I don't know, those strange people post both of them and at 80 mph they get awfully confusing.
alabama?
msmonsy Posted Jun 30, 1999
well, confusing you say?, that must mean that alabama is succeeding in their attempt! oh, and by the way, it is miles that we use around here, have no idea why they post the km signs here as most of these folks can't even add if they were to be wearing shoes at the time (at least not past ten anyway )much less read signs. what?!!, you mean you were travelling only 80 mph and were not run over by billy bob in his truck??!! most of us around here think that speed limit signs are just suggestions and not something that is really supposed to be taken into consideration when our foot is pressing down on the gas peddle.
oh, one more thing, congratulations on your escape from the alabama zone, wish i had been as successful as you but as you can see i am still here and forever forced to live my life in this god awful state. think of me now and then..............

and think kindly????
raise a toaste?????
or just laugh hysterically at the thought?????
alabama?
msmonsy Posted Jun 30, 1999
well, that all depends on whether you are kind or cruel. cruel would mean laugh hysterically whereas kind would mean feel pitty and sorrow as i will never know normalcy. i am doomed to live my life surrounded by bear drinking gun toting rednecks. of course there is the occasional person that i run into who does have all their teeth and is not married to a close relative.
alabama?
msmonsy Posted Jun 30, 1999
wait, scratch that last thing up there, they were married to their third cousins so it counts as being married to a relative. i must keep looking................

the old standby of "incest is best when you keep it in the family" comes springing to mind. But there truly is nothing wrong with drinking beer as long as the beer comes out of a bottle (or at least has the option of coming from a bottle). And why yes, I am a beer snob, quite happily..............

as for being a beer snob, there is nothing wrong with that, i myself do enjoy an occasional beer myself. the difference with elsewhere and here in the badlands known as alabama is that the beer snobs here tend to drool give their slacks odd looking designs whenever a natural urge hits and worst of all they begin to think that they are superior to all. you can tell when you run into one of these creatures as they almost NEVER wear a shirt and cannot see their toes without a mirror.

oh, don't worry vegiman, they are here, believe me they are here!!! we are watching your every move! after that last escape attempt we have to be VERY careful, we would not want our picnic/head retrieval party ruined now would we???
besides, as i said before we would not be very good friends if we did not look out for your best interests now would we????
