How're you getting to the Northern Meet, Peregrin? Do you know which train? Would you consider meeting up with other Suverners in London on the way?

Hi! Just to point out something which I may have pointed out to certain other people in this room but was possibly ignored...ahem... if you book through Virgin before Saturday then it's currently £10 return from London to Manchester and next week it'll be just £15

Ssshhhh he's busy...
*grins*
Besides it's hardly worth noting it now is it
*thinks*
Oooh we can discuss stuff on someone elses page now

Yes, we can if I can stay connected for more than five minutes...

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jul 21, 2001
More than 5 minutes? Have you switched ISP's then
*thinks*
Well as long as neither of us say anything really profound and amazingly important then it won't disconnect
So ummm...cake, any advancements noted?

Hmmm... BT disconnected just then so does that mean you thought you did in a kinda profound sense of never really being sure about the actual existence of cake in it's full sense? Or were you just confused by my mentioning of cake?

The latter is less interesting but closest to the truth. So close, in fact, that it actually is.
Getting to the Spring Onion
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jul 21, 2001
Oh... you could've at least pretended it was the first so it fitted with the consistency of being disconnected
Hmm, well I was asking about cake as it seemed to be a fairly non profound subject which would thus allow you to remain connected...

Ah! Now I see. Well, as long as it's not a Golden Treacle Cake Bar...

Mmmmm golden syrup cake... So why is it not allowed to be one of those then? They're so nice

Ooh a conversation! On my page and all!
I dunno how I'm getting up to the Spring Onion but going to Manchester via London from Southampton seems a bit of a roundabout route. Maybe it's quicker that way but I would have thought I can go straight up. Thanks for the Virgin train tip, they're poopy though and always late. I'll give it a try anyhoo.
Mmmmmmmm golden syrup cake.... *drools on his keyboard and gets disconnected*

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jul 23, 2001
It's not a conversation it just looks that way, it'll be fine...
*hopes they're not about to be moved along*
But is Southhampton south and London less south and manchester north therefore south, less south and then north would work?
*wonders if maybe she's taking a too simplistic view of this*
So what is wrong with Golden Syrup cake Mr T?
Ooh I meant to say, there's a meet in Oxford the following week which we're possibly both going to and theres cookies and icecream and bagel eating as the main activity of the day?

They're kind of in a triangle but I've just looked at a mappy thing and it's a very long thin triangle so it might well be worth me going via London anyway. As long as it isn't during rush hour I probably will. But I don't think I'm organised enough to book my ticket sqweeks in advance so I'll almost certainly end up paying the full price.
I didn't know about the Oxford meet... are there details somewhere? I probably won't make it, come to think of it, I'll be hanging in the air somewhere over the Brecon Beacons.

But it's such a good ticket price!?! I think I'm going to end up buying the ticket myself, going to London and then coming up to the Spring Onion from there just to get good value as it may actually work out cheaper...
OOOH, are you going gliding? Oooooh... there are details of the Oxford meet somewhere ummm... it's titled the Swanny River meet and it's umm... somewhere But cookies?

Peregrin Posted Jul 24, 2001
tempting... but nice as cookies are, I'd rather be flying...

Cookies and icecream? Cookies and icecream and bagels? How about if I buy you the cookies, icecream and bagels? Well not all of them clearly but a select few...
*watches Peregrin fall flat on his nose*
Hmmm... I'm dubious about your flying skills you know...
*picks Peregrin up off the ground and puts a plaster on his nose*
