Hi Dr. E V, You are listed as being a member of the Guru volunteer scheme. Are you still an active member of that volunteer scheme? Please respond to this message. Also, please ensure that the email address you have entered in your preferences is a current address. On a related note, we are asking all volunteers to please read and consent to follow the new h2g2 Volunteer Code of Conduct A87765736. Just leave a comment in this thread, stating you've read and agree with the Code of Conduct http://www.h2g2.com/entry/A87765736/conversation/view/F22128261/T8295271. That public promise will earn you an updated badge on your Personal Space (once the last kink in code gets ironed out). If we hear nothing from you by 31 August 2012, we will assume that you are no longer active, and you will be awarded a badge for retired volunteers. Thank you. Milla, for h2g2 Operations

Were you able to read it?
In case you are using Pliny, I am repeating the message, because the links don't work there:
You are listed as being a member of the Guru volunteer scheme.

Ah. All I can see as the body of that message is:
"There has been an issue with rendering this post, please contact the editors."
So, er, hi! I suppose by responding to the message, I'm counted as having responded to the message, even though I couldn't read the message? Or does this count as the response to the message? I'm very confused.

Oh, Doctor, you so funny
Shall we play this game? Alright then...
Are you an active Guru?
IF YES: Then reply "I am an active guru"
AND
Read Code of Conduct
AND
Post "I promise to follow the Code of Conduct" in the correct thread. You will find it.
AND keep in touch with Pastey, to make sure what the deal is these days.
This earns you an updated Guru badge in the near future.
IF NO: Then reply "I am a former guru"
This earns you a Former Guru badge in the near future.
Clear as mud?

Clear as a '70s glam rock band. Does following Pastey on Twitter count as keeping in touch with him?

I'll take all this as a "No, I am no longer active".
I'm sorry for being a bit humourless, but asking this to 140 people doesn't leave much energy for guessing...
