So did they allow you to resign as an ACE then?
I tried that once and they asked me to stay even if I did no work
I'm guessing you got the same treatment.
Happy birthday BTW, six months till my 5th, I guess you were here on day 1.

Well, not quite day 1, but shortly after.
I'm not sure if I'm being allowed to resign or not. There seems to be a certain level of resistance...
Your resignation
Orcus Posted May 25, 2004
Well I guess it depends on whether you insist or not.
That and unwravelling onesself from virtual mantraps and the like

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted May 28, 2004
Well, it all seems to be official now. Although I don't like to think of it as resignation, more as retirement.

Yeah, I saw on the ACE forum, I guess it's a little different now, I tried to resign when Abi and co were still on board.
Strange, even though I am still subscribed to it and all, since I publically resigned in the ACE forum I'm kind of reluctant to post there.
Anyway, happy retirement, being ACEly is not all about greeting newbies anyway. I'm sure you'll still fit the bill

Resistence? What resistence? I never protested Mind you I resigned ages ago after being coerced to join by Abi. I miss Abi, EV you know everything, where abouts is she now? Where ever it is she took IanG with her!
Talking of vanishing acts, I know you're a little 'busy' now what with other erm... duties... but stop ignoring me you big meany!
*starts to prod him in the the back of the ankles*
I object!
*strops*
Look, you made me re-login to h2g2 and ruin my 6 month no use record...

Prodding people always gets their attention! Where've you vanished too? I haven't heard from you since you shamed yourself at Eurovision. I'm beginning to feel seriously shunned here, still I guess it means that all is well and happy at your end which is good

It's not been that long, has it? Oh blimey, it has. Sorry.
Anyway, I didn't shame myself, I was led astray by the rest of the group.

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jun 9, 2004
No, as I recall it you gave in to peer pressure and sold out, shocking behaviour...
And yes it has been that long, since about when you met your fastening... OOOh is she a button? *hopes that she is*
Your resignation
Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted Jun 9, 2004
*hopes so too*
Anyway, at least I've been here, keeping people up to date as long as they bother to come and log in occasionally. What have you been up to?

Getting drunk on obscure Eastern European liquers? Having a birthday which some people forgot even though I remembered theres and sent them a card :-p Finishing my first films, getting a job and working full time whilst planning my dissertation? Moving house and getting drunk in Newcastle... all whilst being ignored by you! *strops*
Besides you had my phone number, just shunned I was in favour of buttons, Don't make me complicate matters by introducing shiny buttons and plastic button analogies...

Yeah but no but... you have my phone number too! But, er, sorry and congratulations and that.
Drunk in Newcastle? I remember that...
Your resignation
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jun 10, 2004
God I must've been drunk I don't remember you being there at all... Were you the devastatingly handsome guy who bought me a cocktail?
And yes I had your number, as you may recall I messaged you on it several times but I didn't want to harrass you now you have a button.
Your resignation
Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.) Posted Jun 11, 2004
I don't think we were drunk in Newcastle at the same time...
And that's very kind... but you have a button as well.
Your resignation
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Jun 11, 2004
That's good to know, so long as I didn't rudely ignore you.
And yes I have a button but we're no longer in the erm... dazzling new button stage (I've so run out of fastening analysis) whereas you are and previously tended to message me mainly to enquire about buttons and zips and velcro whereas you don't really need to now...
