I live 250 miles away from family and 50 miles away from close friends so I am stuffed really on the hug department!
It wasn't unexpected - she had a couple of serious strokes at the weekend and it was a case of days or weeks, and she was a 100, but it is times like this I wish I wasn't alone.
(The rest of the time people are a pain in the bum and I prefer my cats!)
Still, it is sad 
A pathetic smiley doesn't seem to do her justice really. I am in an emotionally weak period at the moment so it has hit hard.
I do have a teddy called Bobby that I sleep with, so I think he may get a lot of squeezing over the next few days!
Men - pah never there when you need them.
Just hope I can stop blubbing when I speak to my mum later.

One of my friends is flying up on Monday from Wiltshire to accompany me down to Lincolnshire on Tuesday, for the funeral on Wednesday.
Just to support me. (He never met my Gran)

I hope you got some sleep, you sounded pretty knackered earlier on.
That's very good of your friend to fly all that way to support you at a time like this. Good friends are what you need sometimes.
