The Weather
Well, when you meet someone for the first time and you don't know what to say, this always comes up, doesn't it? I'm sure in most parts of the world, the weather could actually be a valid topic for discussion, but my town has about 350 days of sunshine a year. In a bad year.
I could move on to politics, but since my opinions on such things contributed to my being termininated (fired, not shot) a few months ago, I suppose I'd better steer clear.
How about religion? I'm Presbyterian. In the U.S., we call ourselves "The Frozen Chosen". I don't know if there are any Presbyterians in England. Scotland, aye. (I've informed my poor, innocent offspring that part of being a Presbyterian is listening to bagpipes several times a year. Our "piper-in-residence" is Latino.)
About all that's left is sex. And I'm not ready for that right now. Maybe if it rains.
