A great comfort to get your last post(I am silly right now, and find great reassurance in my contact with dear friends)...
My father's been in the hospital for a couple of days-- ICU... He had a heart attack and it was pretty goll-darned serious. He'll be ok-- he really wants out of the hospital(he hates hospitals). They took him off of a balloon pump that was helping his poor heart yesterday....
We are all extremely lucky. Mom made him go to the hospital. The ER had just released a patient, and they had a spot for Dad. If that hadn't happened, he would've been diverted to another hospital... and... no more Dad.
At the time, of course, none of us knew how serious it was.
He has a few more days there, although today he might be moved out of ICU... and then he'll have to go through rehab...
ARGH...
Poor Daddy. HE never gets sick.

That's no good at all.
My old man's decided to quit work and mow lawns for a living. Good for him. Gotta be a better way to live life than developing and analysing contracts....

THANKS!!! Are you sure your dad isn't too old for such strenuous activity!??
Just kidding...
Dad beat the system... he improved sooo much that he was released yeterday. Rehab still, and no driving for two weeks... in a week or so he can go out to dinner one night and to a movie another night. Poor guy's going to be stuck in the house for a month!!! 
And this is sooo funny-- Mom and I were trying to interpret the chicken scratch of the lady who wrote down Dad's instructions. We struggled with one phrase: No seasonal activity, I thought....
Mom's guess was: No several activity... what!?? No...
Hahhahahaaa....
It was: No sexual activity.
Mom and I are so cute.
