Hi Jinx (I love the way that sounds!).
Nihilism is not good for the soul, and nameless, shapeless misery is not all that effective either!
Your teenage blues are obvious, but what else is in there...?
Don't worry, I've been there, and I do understand that nobody understands (nobody ever did me, anyway!). In the end, life got fuller - so full, in fact, that the teenaged me probably would have called it boring. There's very little room left for misery, although frustration is more apparent now that I know what I want!
Now would be a perfect time for one of those Buddhist epigrams, but I don't know any...!

I hate to think that people think of me as permanently unhappy. I am unhappy for most of the time, let's face it, but h2g2 is something different which misery shouldn't enter (which is why I am very upset about Nonny and Skelly).I do appreciate the advice I recieve though.
Thank you.
Jinx.
PS:What do you like the sound of?

Words that sound like other words, and in this case phrases that sound like other phrases - "homophones" I believe they're called.
I don't think I think of you as permanently unhappy, just prone to it due to your age and stage. I can also appreciate that for quite a lot of the time you're not like that: when you are though, it's a real bitch.
What's the story with Mouse and Skelly...?

Oh, they've fallen out and Skelly's gone. Shazz thinks he'll come back, but I'm not so sure. He hasn't replied to any of my e-mails or anything.
I'm pleased that you don't think of me as permanently unhappy. I do.

He probably will be back - although not as Skelly...! How did they "fall out", anyway?
I can't believe that you say that about yourself - oh wait, yes I can, because I used to say the same things...!
I like these Christmas smileys, a lot...!

I reckon they appear as different things to different people.
Tell me, what do these appear as to you?

They must keep cycling, I think. In that single row of smileys I have seen smiling, winking Santas, smiling, winking Christmas puddings and a smiling snowman (8 - )). Only the frowning elf hasn't changed, I think. I have seen smiley reindeer in other fora, too...
