Hello. May I first explain that I have contributed to h2g2 for some time before being accepted as a full member on 12th. January when I had a message from your support team to say that there had been a misunderstanding and that my personal space had been moved over to h2g2.
Incidentally, I have never been welcomed by an Ace.
My problem is that there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of WW2 entries remaining on my personal space and I can find no way of clearing them apart from to unsubscribe each individual posting, that would be a long job. Can you solve my problem, please?

Firstly, I'm sorry that you missed out on an ACE Welcome - there was a time when there was some confusion on the various boards as to who we were to welcome and who belonged where ... maybe you got caught up in that
I have seen you posting around the site for some time and assumed that you had been here for ages. I hope that you will forgive us for missing you Welcome anyway
Regarding the WW2 entries ... I've looked at them and it looks like you were, at one time subscribed to a "New Entries" page on WW2 (or something similar) Unfortunately I don't know of any way of "mass unsubscribing".
The good news is that, as WW2 has closed, all those conversations will eventually get further and further away and, before you know it, you'll forget that they were ever there - I know because it's happened to me
You could always try a Guru - they are more techy minded than I am (but then my sister's cat is more techy minded than I am ) but someone may have a solution.
that I couldn't be of more help ...
Can I drop you an ACE Welcome to make up for my lack of ?

Hi Czar Dene and Feisor *waves*
Like Feisor, I had no idea you never had a proper welcome, but a quick look showed that Jabberwock posted you a welcome message, such removing your from the newbie list.
I'm sorry to have to confirm what Feisor told you about unsubscribing from conversations - you have to do one after the other, which is why I have given up trying unsubscribing from mine, it just takes too long.

Feisor and B'Elana, thanks for your response to my message. I will try a Guru later.

You're welcome, czar Dene. I remember that this question has been asked elsewhere, with the same reply, even TiT didn't know any other advice (and he is a <./>Guru</.>, so .
Oh, and if there is another way, could you let me know?

Traveller in Time with a huge backlog
"There is a way; Use firefox or Operah and install the 'Jont script'. Some of the messageboard members use a script to remove their messages via HooToo using an automated script.
I do not usually promote this but if you can get it to work it may be of use.
< http://www.jont.studioj.dsl.pipex.com/bbc_dna/ > I can not get it to load
This should lead you to a page with the instructions to install and use an extension enabling to remove lists of informed messages.
Most relyable way is to open your MP-page < <./>MP1266263&show=100</.> > and open a new page for each unsubscribe link (the little x left of the message) aftere some twenty new pages you should close the confirmation pages to prevent clogging up your computer. Giving a refresh for the MP list the older messages will rise up.
You can also just leave the messages down on your list, the ww2 site is closed and those messages will never rise up again. Leaving a trail of older conversations gives you some personality and credibility on this site.
Besides there are only some 900 messages in total (I still got about 200 unread from the last 24 hour) "

Thanks for you message. I feel that it would be too complicated for me to attempt to do as you suggest. I do, however, appreciate that you have taken the time to help me, but, at age 79, I would find it too difficult. I hope that in time WW2 entries will not appear in my personal space. It is a pity that I cannot simply unsubscribe from WW2, as that would solve the problem.
