If you wait too long the code expires, using it you are asked to receive the code again. The account becomes active in the newbee list from the moment the code is accepted.

I suspect these unused codes to use up User numbers . . .

Then again, when the account first comes in on the hub that will be the site of registration but it will not show up on _that date_ in our list until the account signed up for HooToo.
