My softball roster is getting pretty full. Pretty soon I'll have to create some new positions, like "left-center-middle fielder," or "waterboy," or even "drunk mascot."

I am really tired of waiting for a rejection on my articles. I like my Geeker Ball article but wonder what the point of submitting it would be. I am on the verge of using a lot of words like "%$#@*@!!!@#$%!!" and "gosh darn it!"

The first game of our new softball season was last night, and it couldn't have gone any better. We played great defense, hit the ball well, and beat a good team 14-4. I had a good game as well, with some more nifty glove work and a triple to the wall in right center. All is well in softball land, at least for a week anyway.

The Cubs gave up 32 runs in the three games against the Rockies, and still managed to win two out of three. Gotta love baseball at Coors Field, especially with Slammin' Sammy Sosa doing his thing.

New beer from New Belgium Brewery available in Texas: Porch Swing Ale. Not too bad, but a distant third to Sunshine Wheat and Fat Tire. Every sip is like a small taste of home.

At last count, my underdog article has been submitted for 5 weeks now, with no rejection in sight. Anyone else out there been waiting this long? Please share your rejection stories with me, and by sharing our pain, perhaps we can reduce the pain.

Note to the editors: Please please please reject one of my submissions! Please!!!!!!!!

I have decided that the game of Geeker Ball will be the subject for my next user page, but I haven't gotten very far on it yet.

The goatee is now gone, and while my face feels less itchy, it also feels smaller.

Has anyone seen Tweek?
