John the gardener says, "Free Tibet!" Started conversation Aug 14, 1999
In welcoming Kalu aboard, my brain was a little uncomfortable with the notion that there doesn't appear to be a team motto. The suggestion was made that a suitable motto would be a very useful thing to be able to say when something vaguely encouraging is called for.
There... it happened again!

Fair enough. I think I could be convinced to start up a motto contest, although I'll probably wait until the team name thing is concluded.....

By the way JTG, can you take a look on my article on basketball when you have a chance. It's only in the start-up stage, but I'm having a terrible time resolving the whole "s/he" issue (see my ed. note). Thanks!

Never mind John! I think I figured it out. My problem was I have been using a lot of singular phrases, such as "He likes to shoot the ball." I think it will work fine if I just switch to plural, as in "They like to shoot the ball."
Thanks for the help
