Nurse Hagrid Arrives
Hello my dears,
Thought I would give this forum a shot and do so with a new nick (I am known in some circles as Madam Cod, but that's a different tale for a different area). I live in a lovely part of the UK, have a husband (no fear of being 'tied by a bit of paper' in my household, we're all for it.), a cat, this well used pc and loads of other mundane bis and peices.
As you can tell by my nick, I work in what can be called 'The Caring Professions' and have done so for the last 26 and a half years of my life, full time too. But I'm getting to the stage where I'm starting to get cynical about my particular profession, as well as the public and political expectations of it. I'm hoping to start a blog of sorts that will examine the role of the care giver, the fantasies and the realities of, say, working in a local NHS environment and having to deal with all those things that can compromise care, and not all of it from Phoney Tony's bunch either!
So we'll see what happens!
