Hey thanks for the welcome, though belatedly received. I left. Then I came back. A few times I think. =)

That's really interesting because I have been away from h2g2 ( though it didn't really mean I was back in "real life" )for quite a while, and just came back, the day before yesterday.
Anyway, I'm glad to see you, I used to read a few things from Facing the mask some time ago, and... Well, as a matter of fact that's about it.
I won't be around twenty four hours a day, nor even one, because the mood in here seems very strange to me after this absence. Nevertheless, if you write something I will surely find it after a while, and be pleased to read it. But don't do it if you don't feel like doing it, it won't bother me at all...

How is the mood different. I haven't been in here long enough to feel any difference in mood. And I understand how you're not online in here all the time. Neither am I. Just whenever you feel like responding is fine.

NB :while writing what follows, I noted it singularily lacked animation, that is smilies. Therefore I added a bunch of them, but in an almost random way, so please don't be surprised if they make no sense...
NB 2: while writing what precedes, I reread a little of what I had written and thought I should warn you not to be surprised if the text made no sense either !
-----------------------
It is true that though a few things have changed, the general mood seems to remain. But I had to think a little while before I saw it, and a few things can explain this slight blindness. I used to participate to h2g2 in a very intermittent way, but quite often during a certain period. Thus, I got to consider h2g2 as a combination of several structures ( eg forums, friendgroups, places, games etc.) which after a few month underwent some evident changes. I saw as a childish way to get some self-confidence the system of mutual dubbing ( giving each other titles ) and fanclubbing, but it was it that excited me in an addicted sort of connection to the group. But the mood is indeed something else, and it goes beyond the structures.
this I find quite interesting, because I usually thought moods were sort of decorums created by the structures, whatever they may be. Whereas here it clearly appears that the reverse inclusion is also possible. Imagine this in the field of thought: it would mean that our structures of thought (eg images, words, concepts, abstract groups...) are nothing in comparison with the general mood of thought (would this general mood be the very act of thinking or something more precise? ). I know that the superficiality of thought-structures is a commonplace, mainly because history teaches us that ideas also die. But the fact that there might be a general mood that survives, this is a bit more interesting. ( if of course the comparison between h2g2 and thought makes any sense at all )

The second reason why it took me some time to understand that the mood was still there was the fact that it implied that I had changed (at least a bit) in so short a time... And this was quite difficult to accept, because I have recently had the biggest troubles when attempting to say something that would be true about myself, so in this.... et caetera
why go on writing all this when I can stop? This is what I don't know, so I stop, being tired of all this blabla. Tomorrow's my first day in the university, so I must rest a little. But even before this I should let you rest a little.
later!
