Loxton historical village

The historical village in Loxton, South Australia (hereinafter termed the hysterical village) is a must for intergalactic visitors and other sentient beings. Only in this setting can one truly appreciate the benefits that can be offered by any other spot in the Galaxy, even those playing host to a Disaster Area concert. There is a strong improbability field in operation here - it is most unlikely you will enjoy yourself. Even a Vogon could not help but be moved by the mindless tedium offered by the hysterical village. You can see the old Yinkanie Railway station, which is as busy now as it was then. The barber's chair is still occupied by its last customer, now lovingly restored by the local taxidermist. The Bank of Adelaide ( assets: the $2 I lost there during my last visit) stands as a poignant reminder of the great depression. The Pug and Pine hut (which once belonged to town icon William Charles Loxton) is a fine example of the Collapso school of architecture. One day, someone is going to inherit a large legal settlement from this. This stands tous pres de la mighty Murray, the drain we like to call a River. Anything those upstream don't have a use for, is usually drunk by those downstream. It's a wonder that the mutation rate is as low as it is. No doubt this waterway was the inspiration for the old poem On either side of the River lie Dead fields of barley and of rye..... On your way out of the village, you can buy a Coke or a nice chockie at the shop. We're not geared up to Pan Galactic gargle blasters at present, but we're working on it. As for our wonderful town, to quote Marvin " it's a wonder you can live in anything that small." But I've always believed that size wasn't important, it's the quality of the thing....er, yes...no matter. So come to Loxton, and learn to love life again!!!!!
