Well, today was pretty hoopy. 
I emailed the Cryptic Corporation, the representatives of The Residents, to request permission to use some pictures from RezWeb ( http://www.residents.com ), and to send some fan praise. I was happy to later check my email and find a response telling me to go ahead. They (whoever it was that responded to my email, presumably Hardy Fox) also said they read my Entry.
Hopefully the fan praise will make it to The Residents.......
