Islam
Posted May 10, 1999
Am stuck in the library studying ready for an Islam exam.
am bored also...understandably since I am in a library.
I also have been finishing off a knitting square which
is then being sewn together to make a cushion cover.

swimming
Posted May 6, 1999
I wish to comment on the idea of going swimmming. I am on a diet which is die with
a t. I go swimming reguarly in order to feel like I am doing enough exercise. I am
going today purely since it is raining and I am already wet. Other
inspirational thoughts include the fact that I still want chocolate.
How come I am addicted to a bean plant?

no more milk
Posted May 4, 1999
my whole life fell apart last night! after a busy
night at work I arrived back at the flat to find a
strange creature relaxing on the bean bags in the flat.
on closer observation I discovered that this being was
actually my flatmate but he was looking slightly worse
for wear - the reason soon emerged... tescos had
decided to close early due to the scottish bank holiday!
the flatmate had not only failed to provide milk for
this morning but had now not been able to have any
doughnuts or muffins!
deprivation of chocolate is a terrible thing!
talk soon

University Life
Posted May 3, 1999
I had to come into the University today....I am at Stirling Unversity
in Scotland. The weather is fantastic and sunny. I can almost imagine
the gods within the clouds smiling down upon us... These gods are not
the real God but are instead minor imitations of him who listen to our
complaints about life and watch our routines upon the earth.
I also have to go to work tonight at the Dunblane Hydro hotel...this
should be cool but means that my human skin will be stretched to the
limit in order to fit into the smiling exterior that greets the other
staff. I suppose I had better do some work on the Buddhist concept of
emptiness before I leave the library....
A big hello to all those that have knitting as a hobby!
