Anyway, I'm sure Jim Lynn is going to put it in the goo soon (something to do with that friends and family thing I should imagine).

Hi Swiv, see we all like to read other people pages.
Learning Java is difficult, thankfully though most of the neat little things around here are done in JavaScript, a sort of little brother of Java and it's a LOT easier to learn. If you're interestes I'd suggest checking out http://www.webteacher.com it's got a really good tutorial on it that should teach you the basics.
