well, it would probably go a whole lot better if i didn't save all my pictures to my deskop and then forget the URL addresses of most of them. i'm new to html and, apparently, this was a big mistake. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, right, HTML helping, i'm on home turf now....
right, you havn't got a clue what the URL's are for the pics? or havn't you uploaded them yet? I'll wait for your reply before carrying on...

i've now found the URLs. so the pictures will definitely load. however, with this comes a new dilemma; it takes a long time for my page to load. i've tryed the tutorials on 'javascript' but can't seem to make it work (script error). any insight on this?
thanks.

The page seems to load at a reasonable pace for one with that much graphics, don't sweat, there's nothing wrong. I wish i could help with the JavaScript, but I havn't learned that yet. Ask Pastey about it, he might be able to help with that.
Sorry...
I'm gonna try and learn JavaScript, as soon as i can think of a reason to bother....

The only reason I want to learn javascript:
To open a window to a page so the person cannot click to go elswhere. Like users.cgi. They then have to come back to the original page to continue.
BTW http://www.javascripts.com
Worth a look. I signed in but haven't had time to study.

madmunk. being that your not the first person whose told me that, i'm gonna have to assume that its just my server. so, i'll let it go for now, but thanks for your responses and attempt to help.
oh, by the way, good luck with your music. that is, good luck with whatever your planning to do with it. i used to drum for a band called "drown" in the states for about three years. we used to travel the country and had a cd out and all but, realy, we were no big deal. i found that the most important thing about music is having fun with it. for me, it didn't matter if were playing in front of 3,000 people or playing in the practice room.

We must have been posting a message to this forum at the same time.
I beat you by just 1 minute. If you go up a couple of postings from here - I gave a javascript link that might interest you.

Though paridoxically Vegiman if you put eye glasses on a table beside your bed it is almost risk free.

I saw my name mentioned so I felt obliged to join in.
The great thing about programming with JavaScript is that you don't really have to be a great programmer or even have to know the language really well. All you need to be able to do is understand how it works. You just need to be able to look at somebody else's script and say Ah ha! that's how it does it, and then be able to change it to your own needs. Mostly that's just a case of changing the address os a picture or an e-mail address or even a title, and seeing as most of that is done in HTML anyway it's not really all that difficult. There is a site that does Cut & Paste Scripts, where you are able to just browse through there index for something that does what you want, grab the script, follow the instructions that come with it on how to change it and voila, all cut and pasted and ready to use.
With regard to the long time down load for the pictures problem I'll need to have another look at the page first.

almost. you could poke your eye out with one of the ear supports, forcing you to replace it with a glass eye. hence, putting you in a high risk position of choking on that eyeball which was placed in a glass on the nightstand. its all probability.
