h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Bit of a personal one this but hey.

As Jimi X and Me are busy rattling off articles in a bit to be the first to 100. I'm sure there is some mileage in there for an H2G2 life. Plus I'd like to see who you convey Scotland, Pennsylvania, me and Jimi X in a H2G2 Life really.

Actually the subject matter sounds perfect for the single panel cartoons I was doing when the Post first started. I don't know if you ever saw them, but I was always looking for some piece of h2g2 news to turn into some joke. I suppose they were the equivalent of political cartoons.

I started up h2g2life for the simple reason that it just became too hard to keep that up - I was spending most of my h2g2 time finding 'gossip' to use as subject matter. So I've ditched the 'unique-to-h2g2' single panel stuff for subject matter that is a lot more broad - stuff that (hopefully) non h2g2ers can look at and see the funny side of (as long as they understand the internet and internet addiction in general).

I know what you're thinking at this stage, but this isn't an out and out 'no' though - it's not even a 'don't call us, we'll call you' scenario. I just need to think of a way of turning your idea into a h2g2life style of cartoon. I'll mull over it for a few weeks, like I do with most ideas, and see what I come up with. I'll keep you posted.

The quick answer is (if you strip down all the other blathering): If I can do it I will.
