Can I take your editorship of my Beatles article (I like the footnotes, by the way) and it's rise to the top of my list of entries fortells upcoming acceptance?

You may so take it. You should get an e-mail conveying something along the lines of "Congratulations...blah...blah... Official Entry", or something like that. It may take a while before it's actually posted as an Official Entry (week or so). Right now it's waiting in the five-a-day line.
