Mountain Bike Areas and Trails
So your looking for somewhere to ride! Maybe I can help or perhaps you can help me. First off you could try Wendover Woods in Buckinghamshire. Just outside of Halton near Wendover and not to far away from London (about 30 miles). This area consists of Cross Country and Down Hill sections varying in difficulty from blue to red through to black. The black run is fabled to be one of the most extreme in the south of England. Unfortunatly riding in this area requires a permit and third party insurance, but still better safe than sorry! Permits are available from the Forestry Commission, insurance you can sort out yourself but it is easier to get a club membership that will cover everything you need. Just ask at the site and someone will point you in the right direction. Also being built in the area is an Duel Descent that will prove good fun if you have a mate that your just dying to have a race with and prove your skills.Conversations
