Hi Mike
Long time since as by your page last. I just realised that you like Dali!
Herdis and I were in Florida (before the hubbub, but only just) and stayed with a friend in St. Petersburg, 3 minutes from the Dali museum. We went one morning and I have to say that I got a new look at Dali's works. There are works from age 10 and all the way up, collected by Mr and Mrs Morse (no, not Samuel) they were good friends with Dali and Gala and have made a wonderful collection. Have you ever been there? If not, I can really recommend it. My souvenir is a tea-mug with this inscription:
The only difference between myself & a madman is that... I AM NOT MAD!

Hi JJ! I only went to Florida once in my life--when I was 2 weeks old. I hadn't developed a taste for surrealism yet. But I do know of that museum, and I plan on visiting it some day. Dali was so cool. His art was visually stunning and bizzare, with great technique, and sybolism that we still haven't figured out for the most part. And his life outside his painting was just as interesting (well almost anyhow). He was so weird he got kicked out of the surrealist movement. Now THAT's an accomplishment!
