I was going to comment, but I really didn't understand what AB was going on about, so I thought it best just to lurk.
Anyway, on to more important business. How did the exam go?
DNAhub I presume ? with h2g2 in Mind.
Tango Posted Jun 23, 2003
The exam was horrible. There were some really stupid questions, for example, there was a complete this circuit question, but the half they had done was very badly done, so it was almost impossible to do the other half well.

?

Tango Posted Sep 25, 2003
I said that because it was true. DNA is software, nothing more.

Didn't DNA the man come first. <smiley

Tango Posted Sep 26, 2003
Of course the man came first. What has that got to do with anything?

Fine, it is true. Good. Is it relevent though?

DNA is a man.
DNA is a very long molecule.
DNA is a suite of web software.
DNA Hub is a website 'community'.
H2G2 is a website 'community'.
Both happen to run on DNA (the web software), they also run on MSSQL, Solaris, Apache, WinNT, and XML.

Ancient Brit: But what ties Get Writing, h2g2, and ww2 together, any more than any other parts of the BBC website?

who do you mean by "you"? And how on earth can you come to such a general conclusion from one post?

I do like the way you think every thing I say is true! *claps AB on the back* Good man!

Ancient Brit Posted Sep 27, 2003
Shouldn't the question be? What is it that all those sites have in common ? Ties and parts are words that could be wrongly interpretted, eh Tango.. Just as statements can be taken out of context to create an argument.
I could answer that it is the communications part of BBCi that ties them all together.
I ask you, should DNA sites be linked and if so how ?
DNAhub I presume ? with h2g2 in Mind.
Spelugx the Beige, Wizard, Perl, Thaumatologically Challenged Posted Sep 27, 2003
I would disagree on separating sites run on DNA from sites run on h2, or anything else listed on the BBCi's communicate page. I think it's the communicate page, and the BBCi Toolbar which *already* links all the DNA sites together, and more!

Spelugx the Beige, Wizard, Perl, Thaumatologically Challenged Posted Sep 27, 2003
I agree that all the parts of the BBC's website need to be tied together. Since all the DNA sites are part of this, they should be tied together not just with other DNA sites but with all the parts of BBCi.

You don't see DNA sites a something special that deserve the same prominence as that given to Message Boards on the Communicate Page. ?
