Into the Void
Ah, hello and good evening. Konbanwa, Buenos noches... and here my knowledge of languages runs out. Welcome, bienvenidos... and... welcome... to the Void. My mind. I serve as a sort of bridge between anime/computer nerd, the outcast, and the somewhat normal world.
Ah, anyways. I am Mekryd. Not that 'Mekryd' is my real name. But it -is- the name which I associate with nearly everything I touch. For example, mekryd.keenspace.com and mekryd.deviantart.com will bring you to my webcomic and my deviantArt account, respectively. Except you won't want to go to either, either for reason of apathy, or for the simple fact that they are not very worthwhile, unless you are the sort who likes odd sorts of humour.
I like to write. That, however, is not meant to imply that I am remotely good at it. I also enjoy drawing. The same goes for drawing.
My outlook on people is an odd one. I think lowly of myself, and as a result expect the world to be that much better than me. It unsurprisingly fails to meet those expectations, most of the time. If it has recently not met that expectation in a new and startling way, then I tend to take a darker, much less idealistic view on the world. But the moment of sanity soon passes, and I begin to 'look on the bright side' again. Fortunately, the bright side is not so much that it makes one blind.
The dark side is another matter. It always bothered me that the Dark side of the force employed one of the flashiest, brightest ways of killing someone, namely Force Lightning. But that's another matter.
Games amuse me. Video games in particular. Board games hold a certain appeal to me, but again, the world has disappointed me, and failed to provide anyone to regularly play them with. Or at the very least, I have failed in actually looking for such people. So, in effect, I play video games. Role playing games in particular. And write. Most of my writing is RPing on a site called GaiaOnline (though it is very hard to find anywhere on that said site worth RPing in).
RPing, while it shares the first two letters of RPG, and while those first two letters stand for the same things in both, is not the same as an RPG. RPing is much more hands-on, and more about building characters in personality and storylines, than in beating up monsters and building their stats up, though many times one RPs a character beating up monsters anyway.
Ah, well, I guess I've meandered far enough to lose the attention of anyone reading, so I'll stop here. Congratulations for getting this far, if you've read it all. If you just skipped to the end, well, shame on you.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
