Still working my way through it, but I'll keep my eye out. smiley - smiley

The way it works is that once an entry is picked from Peer Review, a duplicate copy is created. This copy is then assigned to a sub-editor (in this case me) who then can edit it. That's the stage we're at here.smiley - ok
After it is edited it is checked by the author for their final approval, which once it has received is returned to be finally checked by one of the Guide Editors and then joins the queue to get to the front page.

You'll be pleased to know that I've made far fewer changes than to the first two entries of yours I subbed.smiley - smiley

I've added links where appropriate, tweaked a couple of spellings and grammar and tried to cut down on the number of footnotes. I'll summarise the main changes here:

Opening:
smiley - modI've added the banner at the top.
smiley - modThe opening paragraph is virtually identical.

King James: His Path to the Throne of England:
smiley - modVirtually identical, I just combined the first and second paragraphs.

Henry VII of England and his wife Elizabeth of York:
smiley - modI've changed the list of children into chronological order.
smiley - modI added a 'Mary, Queen of Scots' section to incorporate the text listed next to 'Margaret' as well as the information in the Mary Stewart/Stuart spelling footnote.

James' Early Years In Scotland
smiley - modA few tweaks to the paragraphs and title
smiley - modA new section entitled 'Regency' has been added to break up this section, with the regents in subheadings.

Marriage
smiley - modI've moved the section on James getting married here, where it fits better chronologically. Except for the mention of Tycho.

Ascension of the first King of Great Britain
smiley - modI tweaked the title (but can tweak it back if you want)
smiley - modI tried to cut down the number of footnotes in this section to improve the flow.
smiley - modI moved some material from James' journey to London in the following section here, so there's a clearer 'before King of England/after King of England' break.

A Dutiful Son?
smiley - modThis section moved up from the end to be more in chronological order, and so that 'Legacy' is the last part of the entry.

As always, feel free to let me know your comments on the entry so far, what you'd like me to change/restore/add to and delete, and I'll go through the changes made to the rest of the entry tomorrow.smiley - smiley

Rest of the changes:

James: King and Scholar
smiley - modThis now begins with his coronation, with the Privy Council section moved up into the previous section.
smiley - modThe second paragraph in this section has been split into two, and the section about Scotland has been moved to fit with his policies on Ireland and America rather than in the coronation paragraph.
smiley - modSection 'A Dutiful Son' has moved down since yesterday to become a subsection of 'James: King and Scholar' which I think is the ideal chronological fit.
smiley - modThe section after this has become named 'Patron of the Arts' and now includes the section on Tycho Brahe from earlier.
smiley - modThe mention of the Bible and witches leads neatly into:

The Witch Hunts:
smiley - modOther than the movement of the Marriage section upwards, there are only minor tweaks.

The Big Bang in Theory
smiley - modThe list of conspirators is now in a footnote.
smiley - modThe information in the previous footnote about Elizabeth has been summarised in the text as all this information is in the entry on Elizabeth.
smiley - modThe information in the previous footnote 15 is now incorporated into the text.

Legacy:
smiley - modAlmost identical, with the paragraph on Mary now moved into the 'A Dutiful Son' subsection of 'James: King and Scholar'

So that's it. I hope you don't think I've made too many changes – feel free to object to anything I've done and ask me to change stuff back. Have a thorough read through and let me know what you think, if there's anything in the body of the text, or titles, that you'd like me to tweak, delete, change or alter in a final thorough read-through, and let me know what you'd like me to fix or if it meets your full approval.smiley - smiley
