An insurance company running a TV advertisement, they have an application for your phone that tells you how you are driving.
They take your details and the app inturn the monitors your driving and tells you how good a driver you are.
Do they think we are mad, surely this is a spy in the cab and this must have an effect on your premium. Can they see if you have visited the pub? What's the next step if you say no to the app higher rates for your insurance, some people don't have a smartphone and others don't drive with a phone on.
Ok it may help prove your innocence in an RTA but so will a good SAT NAV (eg Garmin) and it is not spying on you.
Are the Insurance companies (having collected the evidence) complicite in a crime if they don't report your dangerous driving?
You have got to be joking.

Hello Gingersnapper hope you had a good Christmas
Its a UK advert by a prominent UK insurer proposing to reduce the cost of motor insurance providing you supply data regarding your daily motoring habits via a GPS app they give you to use on your phone.
Am I the only one to think this is suspicious. Inviting an insurer to see how you drive and this will of course make them suspicious if you turn the app off. A spy in the car what do you think

Yes, I 100% agree. Here insurance rates can be lower if you do not drive a long distance each day. Your driving is not work related or under 3 miles. Do not have an accident. A person under a certain age does not drive the car. You insure more than one vehicle. And do not imbibe. . . . . .. ..
