Hi Bob - see this? http://www.prio.no/sptrans/-616228946/091014%20Isenberg%20Private%20Military%20Contractors%20PRIO%20Report%201-2009%20FINAL.pdf

It's a 2009 report by the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo.

Look at footnote 25 on page 18. They quote your entry A23965590 - The Method and Procedures of Nelson's Navy.

Congratulations! smiley - bubbly

I'll add it to my list of h2g2 citations shortly (A46972182)

smiley - cheers Icy

I'm currently trawling through Google Scholar for any 2009 h2g2 references I may have missed (some only reach Google a year or so after they get published).

As you can see from my citations entry, we get references in all sorts of places: books, newspapers, scientific journals, patent applications, etc. I collect them and post them up there.

Great, thanks, Bob smiley - smiley

For my citation list, I choose published sources with some sort of literary/academic/journalistic pedigree.

I don't count Wikipedia, as any fool can add or remove links at whim. (There are hundreds of h2g2 references in Wiki and its clones, but they're easy to find if you ever need to know them)

The Staffordshire one wasn't an article - it was an automatic search engine's result following a question on a Q&A site - you'll find a lot of these littering any Google search, unfortunately.

However, the Archaeological report is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for, and I'll add it to the list in due course smiley - smiley
