It looks like keep it simple will do best, add elements as the support grows.
The format of the beer tasting might work, we all read a book and compare notes and talk about it writing up the result at the end of the thread as an entry possably

Hey, guys! I'm here.
Do you mean that we read the book and while we read it, we write like a sort of journal or like a conversation in the thread OR we write our conclusions and hold a conversation only when we have finished the book?
Please explain technicalities to me later.
The next thing is choosing the book right! Well, I like fiction (most kinds), but the kind of fiction where I can learn about a different culture would be a good criteria for picking for me. Yet I don't know. What are you guys interested in?
What's going to be interesting is the different ìnput we bring to our analysis given that we come from different backgrounds.

May be we can pick a book from the suggested list on The Big Read, the top 100.
They got tittles like: To Kill a Mockingbird, Wuthering Heights, Rebecca, Animal Farm, Brother's Karamazov, and many others which I'm not familiar with but that maybe you know something about.
I'll keep looking for tittles. I'm currently reading "Tortilla Flat" by John Steinbeck and it has not caught me yet. Have you read it?

Well, boys, let me give you a list of the books I have at hand and which I have not yet read. But of course, there are may others out there.
A Separate Peace by John Knowles (looks intriguing)
The Brother's Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky (psychological novel)
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (creator and his monster)
This Side of Paradise by F.Scott Fitzgerald (the Roaring 20´s)
Now you make suggestions or say if you like one of these.
Schade! It's a shame that and coffee will only be virtual in our book club.
he, he!

We then, have 2 weeks to read it or 3. The point is to finish it and then contrast our impressions.
We should read as many books together as we can.
is that okay? if is not then let's discuss it. We all should agree.

I Don't get a lot of time to read at the moment so it is really the problem we had before

Okay, that's fine.
What if we read smaller works, like short stories or poems. We could look them up in the internet and not have to buy books. We would be doing the same mental exercise anyway?

Well that is a good idea we can work with this you draw up a short list and provide if you can a link (this will get others interested as well). I think this will be a good idea and it will need organising - fancy the job - what do you think Intern.....

Sorry for the absence, I've been really busy at work.
Here's a small list to start. I didn't want to load it so much at this point:
1. Anne Sexton "Her Kind" (poem)
2. William Carlos Williams "This is Just to Say" (poem)
3. Jean Rhys "I Used to Live Here Once" (Short Story - you can find this here http://personal.bgsu.edu/~rshultz/Rhys.htm
Please provide your suggested readings also.
We can start with any of those.
