Well certainly. Whether it's a few or a lot of volunteers, once or multiple times, it offers 'visitors' or newbies a chance to see some of the people that are here. Easily and directly. Sadly, I don't dare return to the thread with any encouragement. Any posts from me in some places are seen and taken badly.
But hey, a very small few of the multiple dozens that I have met, and get on very well with. Not bad averages, really, eh?

I play the averages in the every-day world, and even here I find myself well enough ahead. So I'm not concerned at all ...
Now, if I were to try for the all-time-most-prolific-author-in-a-month ... YOU would be a serious threat, my friend.
