Wasn't Grendel the name of the "monster" slain by Beowulf in that Old English poem?
And if so, does that mean you are decended from Cain??

Sure, I'll go along with that part about Cain, but most of us don't have our arms ripped off by some Old English hero!

In fact, all of us. Noah was decended from Cain and, since he and his wife and decendants were the only ones who survived the Great Flood, we are all decended from him.

ehhh....If you look in Genesis....you'll see Noah was a descendant of Abel, not Cain. (sorry)

Wasn't Cain supposed to be the forefather of Vampires or something?

When I'd looked it up before I'd traced Cain's line to Noah. When I looked it up just then I traced Seth's. Still haven't found anything in Abel's line.

My mistake. That's what I get for trying to answer a post while half asleep...
