Greetings
I'dd drop by in a day or so. I'm just too knackered right now. I've been making an insane amount of progress with my telephone exchange monitoring software and don't really want to drop that now, but I'll make time tomorrow afternoon, and see if I can find some time on Wednesday. Please feel free to lob any technical questions about the article my way.
Regards,
Jim

I see the 'With the increasing use of computers' (second section) paragraph is back. I thought I had killed that (I put !-- tags around it).
In 'Marking up', para 5; the first 'each way races' should probably read each-way bets (hyphen in each-way (which I've also missed in other places) and bets instead of races)
You have footnotes in your copy. I don't. I thought I had, perhaps I accidentally nuked 'em, or I am imagining things..
I don't know if there is a GuideML way of making the calculator keys show up better. My GuideML is a little rough, nay nonexistant.
Regards,
Jim

I wasn't sure if you wanted that paragraph in or not - I think it should be in but it's up to you.
I'll change the each-way thing.
I think the calculator keys are fine as they are.

Gaah. I really wouldn't have linked to the 'Betting shops and Gambling article', especially because it was written by that idiot... (in another life)
I think, on the whole, that the paragraph was probably better when it was invisible. If you want to mention computerised settling, I'd cook up something along the lines of:
Most bet settling today is done by automated computer systems, which are far faster, and more accurate than any human settler. However, if incorrect data is fed into a computer system, incorrect results follow, so it may help if you know how much your bet is worth, so you can spot mistakes when they happen.
(ooh, managed to avoid mentioning betting shops... )

Thanks for that.
I can't see anything else, although the moment it hits the front page, something so blindingly obvious will no doubt get noticed!
Thanks again,
Jim
