Ta.
Thankyou, now I'll just have to figure out what album this is and consider the unlikely possibility that the included sleeve note potted history is from girl's own

It got to you? Good
Interestingly, something, sent 2nd Class from Northants on Tuesday, arrived here yesterday ... the idea of Royal Mail outperforming itself quite amused me.
IIRC there's some filling but:

My Dad has put Xmas 1959 on the copy I've got. Don't think I'd ever read the item before, I was way too young for it to have made any sense of it at all, and not interested later; nor would I have any way to access the material anyway (although I have googled etc and both books are around on Amazon and/or ebay):

I'm left wondering what the target audience was for the annual, and reckon bored and boarding teenagers

What I meant by 'filling' was that I'd packed out the CD with track repeats: tracks 1-5 are the Live in Berlin album, followed by track 1 (Beauty) repeated, track 4 (Table Fable) repeated, then the studio version of Table Fable. The info that has attached itself ex tinternet refers to a pucture of Doris travelling with Boris, and I haven't changed the typo.
Anyhoo, your serendipitous mention of arpeggios larst nite made I larf and I smile again as I recall my
Does saying it's good mean you enjoyed it?

G'grief, I'm going to forget to mention a couple of other things ...
If you missed Yann Martel on Book Club this afternoon, it's worth catching:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00tkpff
The World Service has been trailing this extensively, and it's being transmitted in Europe at 0900 tomorrow; it's not clear whether it's a series (I think it might be) and, despite the trailing, it's proving hard to find out much about the programme content other than it is about chess. Listening online might be the way to catch it, as I how know how LA or iPlayer work for World Service stuff since the recent upgrades (there was an interview recently with Seamus Heaney, and I simply cannot locate the programme details - despite my best efforts):
http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/documentaries/2010/07/100729_cs_friday_doc_summer2010_tx.shtml
http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmeguide/schedule/date/111011:1/digitalradio/2643741/date/10/09/2010/
(I realise this may clash with W but I'm mentioning it anyway.)

Well, that was that
I caught the Martell. I felt duty bound since it is the first time that I knew they were doing a book I'd read. I even chimed with how the author saw things, which was a bonus.
Yes I did enjoy it.
Chess eh? I suck, I've dropped below 1700 so maybe I should try to find that programme...

Also, check out Regard de la Vierge by Olivier Messiaen. I might have a go at this as a way back to the keyboard.
G'night!

I looked, a while back, and noticed that your averages were um not what they were. Although I kinda knew that you'd been busy, I did wonder - as I had also briefly wondered at the mash stuff - but then let it go, as my wondering was helpful to neither of us. So wonder is now switched off
The WS thing I've had on the long finger since they first started trailing it, and I hoped I wouldn't forget it - until they mentioned the date, a few days ago. Sorry to only be able to give you half a head's up on this, but half a head is better than none innit.
Osteo said, t'other day, that my head was much softer now ... I said I wasn't going to forget that he'd told me I was soft in the head, and wondered if anyone else had noticed this phrasing

I'm waiting for the repeat at 1200.
Messiaen: good idea (wince), but couldn't you start with something /shorter/ like gymno or even gnossiene?
Joking aside, and dismal knowledge significantly enhanced by google and wikipedia, I've never listened to any Messaien but it's a very long suite of music so where were you planning to start and/or which specific pieces had you in mind when you thought 'that's a good idea'?
I could start with what's on YouTube, but only if that's where you're either going to start or end up. The value of this could be doubtful as I'm going to assume that the most accessible régards will be the ones on YouTube ... ergo you've already turned your nose up at them

OK, I think I've found the one you mean: is it number 4, Chris? Yes, do it.
As for Endgame, either you're suffering from not benefiting from the face to face psychology tactic, or you're not abreast of recent developments ... or something else.
Just finally forwarded something to you, having first 'forwarded' it /back/ to BtJ

Dunno about what it is about the chess, bad patch certainly.

So I had found the right piece: good, I'm afraid it took a little while but I got there in the end
Having made that assumption, I've decamped to this version, partly because I prefer the sound quality and also because I've cobbled together a playlist of his interpretation of all 20 Regards:

Just listened to the repeat, to hear what again what was said about Kasparov being spooked. Programme ends, CA says you can download the mp3 ... I can't find it.
Anyhoo it occurs to me that although you are playing, you may be playing other peeps' pooters (thought generated directly by what was said towards the end of the prog) ... but not your dalliances with the Lamb Man
Key: Complain about this post
