More good stuff, ta!
Picked up the other clip to ... also liked the
'There is always something to be done
Even if it is sitting still and willing for it to happen'
which seems to be attributed to Shaw ...

I thought you meant google the quote from the first bit of the ink in the well video. It takes you to a myspace of a band that seemed quite like one that bash said she was taking some visitors to see a few months ago now. It probably isn't.

Ah ... no ... I was only trying to find a source for the early quote in the video, so I ignored YouTube links and headed for a link containing the text string - sorry about that. Went to bed imagining the valkyrie descending en masse into somewhere I couldn't quite see

Gosh! Knowing that you are not a fan of diy, I'd say you must have been ... er ... provoked.
BtB is my source of assistance on ceilings and the painting thereof, as he's better at neck-cricking stuff than I am. He was involved with the famous propping up the ceiling incident. So unsuccessful were his attempts at re-glueing that we made a tactical retreat and counter-attacked by taking down all the ceiling paper

Ah, the nuclear option. Once you start stripping that ceiling paper, there is no return.
Yeah, I was provoked. And I fell for it.

clink
We had no choice really ... he put a little paste into the crack between two sheets of loose paper and we wedged it in place in a Heath Robinson sort of way.
Three days later, far more of the paper was descending than had been loose for years. Our offensive showed that the glues had all held but the original paint had let go ... we never let on to the ceiling that we had no real choice, natch.
Now the ceiling has 'character' befitting a late 19th century cottage

Good luck!!!
Providing it hasn't been too long since the last coat, the surface was cleaned before it was painted, you haven't changed the colour and used good quality paint ... you should get away with it.
