Really!!!??? MAY!!!!

As you ll know I've had Craigs garden done. Very modern but still squeezes in my perenials . Grasses galore and alpines also. Very pleased with it! Especially our borrowed from Achill Island standing stones (that structure was AWFUL woody)
We also has a fish tank disaster recently resulting in the floors being lifted and new flooring and decor (result).
This resulted in a lot of disruption at the same time as the garden being done but now its all pristine and beautiful and was well worth it

The band has been exceptionally busy of late - had lots of enquiries for Hogmanay and opted for a Tapas bar in Glasgow. It has a dance studio upstairs and has a someones living room feel. Still playing the same old crap but the formula works and makes us pocket money!

Hal the pup is currently barking like mad, as there is an intruder in the living room. The fish went back in the tank last night and the angel fish has caught his attention. KILL , Hal, KILLLL!!

He has just consumed our life - and we love him to bits. Collie Jess thinks he is great and plays and mothers him, disciplining when needed. He's bigger than her now but I hope she will always remain dominant

Got to run to work now, well, drive. Ocotber holidays so a bit busier.

Just back from my annual trip to Manchester, and managed to see Phil and Ben and Metal Chicken. As ever, it was a great show. I'm still into the sceptic's stuff in Cork and still enjoying it.

Things are all a little bit complicated these days. A long, drawn out breakup between myself and my wife is nearing its conclusion. The last few months have been very difficult and very legal and I couldn't be more worried about the future if I tried. Oh well. Don't Panic as they say.

I'm spending a few days with my sister down in Cardiff. Lovely neck of the woods. I'll take it easy for a few days. My sis has been deeply engaged with her small children for the last few years so it's been somewhat difficult to stay in touch.

My partner's parents are over in Ireland while I'm over here. Maybe a good thing, as they tend to be very busy working all day when they are over. I would only be getting in the way. I'll pick up a bit of sleep on their behalf while I'm away.

Did you know, my blog just passed its 400th entry? I can't quite believe it. It's never been something very well thought out, I just post stuff I'm interested in at the time, plus a few photos.

Was sure I had posted more recently than this.

Breakups are horrid. Financially, they ruin you. Its sounds like its been a really long process?

After losing my Poppa in Jan, we all got a little money so have upgraded to a top end compact Canon G16. Great camera but I'll need to learn to use it. Similar in features to my dated Powershot but want to really use all the features. It has RAW mode for stars and aurora. Can do timelapse and startrails and has presets for Astrophotography . Should be great for our upcoming holiday. Two weeks in Lochinver then Staffin on Skye.

This will be our pups first holiday. He's a nightmare jsut now. Very badly behaved when he sees other dogs. Sounds like a Mental case but actually just wants to say Hello. Very embarrassing for me as I have always been able to train dogs but he is embracing his Deerhound and Bedlington Terrier side well and truly.
I promised these people he was "well behaved" OOOPS! smiley - nur

My garden is having its first spring since the overhaul. Loads of bulbs worked out resulting in Snowdrops, Anemones, Fritilaries, dwarf daffs and narcissis, iris on the way and have Lewisia and wall flowers flowering away already. It was an incredibly mild winter for us with only a handful of frost and virtually no snow. The grass that was laid has recovered from the wetness. But the old stuff up the back drowned and is making a slowly recovery. GRR!

My classic car is still off the road and remains untouched. Have lost the oomph and no sign of it coming back. This is the case for 1000s of owners whose projects turn into years of inaction. Its all the fiddly horrid stuff and a respray to do thats held us up. If you get those wrong, the car will look like a bags of spanners.

Work now. Away up the hill to Muirshiel to see if my Nuthatch has return. Very rare up here never mind up there!
