Getting back on topic...

Your MAC could end up being an endangered species...

Apple are in the midst of changing their hardware to run on Intel-based processors (in other words - MACS and PC hardware is shortly going to be virtually identical apart from the macs having a better operating system and being better looking...)

Now, we all know, MACs are more expensive than PCs, so they're including a proprietory chip in the new MACs, which is needed to run OSX-x86

The trouble is, some bright spark has already found a way of installing OSX onto an intel-based computer without that chip...

So, you can buy a PC without an operating system (a lot cheaper than a MAC),
then you buy OSX on its own (A lot cheaper than Windows)

And hey presto - you've got all the reliability of a MAC Operating System without having to pay for fancy design.

I think they've just shot themselves in the foot!
