computer progaming
Posted Apr 29, 1999
I just wrote my computer final exam today and got royally ripped off. Why must first year students endure such pain and loss
of hair over the manditory learning of ancient programing languages? When you look at the advancements in the world of computer
languages, it seems that a new language pops up every couple months, and we have to learn Pascal--one of the most
ridiculus programing languages I've ever seen?????? Frankly I don't give a hairy rats' *** about how to build your own
stupid program to sort some bunch of numbers, and I have no intention of pursuing a career in this field so why,WHY must
I pay hundreds of borrowed dollars to fail a useless course!

Trench-coat mafia: the Devil's Advocates?

What is happening to youths these days?
Why is there a sudden outburst of evil and sinister acts?
Why has it crossed the boarder into Canada--into my own province of Alberta?
What has gone so wrong in the universe or is it in ourselves?...just a few
bad eggs crack to reveal the nature of human behavior.
This is a cycle. It's not because of the lastest fashions, or the new types
of music that parents think are *bad*, or the violence on tv and in movies.
It begins with parents, not necessarily the parents of this generation, but somewhere
back up the family tree the seed was planted. Parents are the ones to instill values
and morals or tell us that we are better than everyone else because we have more of everything.
Jocks come from jocks. Nice kids come from nice parents. Intelligent people were exposed
to more things as they grew up. Bad apples fall from bad trees. I'm not saying this is true
for every single person out there but it is a noticeable trend.
And blaming people, for instance Goths, will not solve anything. Scapegoating something you don't
understand is evil in itself. Goths are misunderstood by alot of people. Black is just a color
of clothing prefered, someone else's favorite color could be blue and that's all they wear. Goths
seem to be almost feared from where I come from. Store clerks watch with eagle-eyes, elderly persons gock
and stare in fear of thier pakages being ripped from thier arms. People are generally mean to Goths and
that is prejudice my friend.
