Hi. Re: A744888 - The History of the London Black Cab Trade A48711314 - The London Licensed Cab trade and Black Cabs. It appears I have made a major Faux Pas. I did think I'd posted a message on 30 November 2008 asking permission to update two London taxi entries, and update it, but I received no reply. Today it was put on pre-mod, and couldn't understand why. Looking back over my messages, I have found the post to the Apprentice: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F46043?thread=6114237 However, I didn't find one from you, so assumed you hadn't any views either way. It now turns out, looking back, I didn't send it, yet I don't know why. The request was the same. Once again, my apologies. I don't know why it wasn't sent and it was never my intention to 'pinch' someone else's entry. I hope you will reply, even if only to tell me where to go! MMF o/~

I'm not really sure why you are apologising, I've got no idea what you've had put on pre-mod, but it's nothing to do with me?

I did post this on your space a while ago - F133329?thread=6127925, which linked to this F64?thread=5952049#p72692276 which effectively gave my blessing for my entry to be merged with the old one and your new info if you were so inclined.

So if someone is out to get you, it isn't me!

Out of interest, if the reason why that entry has been hidden is because it's got some of my content on it, whoever complained is completely out of order!!

The terms of h2g2 say the Beeb has a right to use whatever of our content it likes, and that includes other Researchers updating old Entries. Asking the previous author is a courtesy (especially if they are still active as then they might like to update it themselves), not a rule.

I can only think there might be some other reason for keeping it hidden? As I can't see the Eds hiding it for that.

I said there was another reason for it to be hidden and I was right. Sadly you've behaved so badly I don't want you updating my entry.
