Hi Mina
We now understand that 'i' is for interactive but there seems to be some confusion between 'talk' and 'communicate'.
As far as I can see 'talk' is the name of a web page with the URL http://www.bbc.co.uk/communicate/
The same page is accessed by clicking on 'communicate' link on the Connector page. Since 'talk' has only recently been conjured up on the new BBC Web Page wouldn't it be better to go back to the original classification of 'communicate' or are the BBC thinking ahead to the time when we will all be talking over the internet ?
The URL for Connector is http://www.bbc.co.uk/communicate/connector.

Hi Ancient Brit,
We've dropped the 'i' from BBCi, we're now bbc.co.uk.
The Communicate page was changed to being called 'Talk' because it was felt that it was easier to understand.
I wouldn't worry about what the URLS are called - many of bbc.co.uk visitors don't know what a URL is, let alone what it reads. To change it would mean finding every single page that links to it, and changing it, which would be too mcuh work.
Nice to see that the Connector page has been updated! I hadn't noticed that.

Sorry Mina but I do worry about Links and URLs, that is the point of my question. Since you pointed me to your journal entry here - F656?thread=417543&skip=60&show=20#p5359427 I have lurked around www.bbc.co.uk. and assumed that I was doing right by making the point to you in your personal space.
Perhaps I was wrong and should have posted it as reply to your thread. F82769?thread=414715
Would that have made any difference to your reply ?
How can renaming the Communication page 'Talk' simplify things ?
< To change it would mean finding every single page that links to it, and changing it, which would be too mcuh work. >. In so doing you missed the link to 'Communicate' on the Connector page. In any even BBC is more about communication by radio, TV with or without thw 'i' and now the Internet. For the time being 'Talk' is the realm of the telephone.
